I always wanted to be able to help others, and I think deep down everyone feels like that - it just needs to be properly triggered in some way. My trigger was my amazing sponsors in the business - how passionate they were about the products and about the business opportunity. At first, I was their customer, and they really had my best interest at heart (and it wasn't just about the money!), and getting such good results with their help and guidance, it changed my whole outlook on life.
I was kind of a miserable chap to be honest - being overweight was one of the factors, and there were other factors too. But getting the results rebooted me, and got me into the mindset where I actually wanted to start helping others as well. I followed the advice of my sponsors to the tee, and that ultimately led me to qualify for what we call a Leadership Development Weekend in February of 2012. And boy oh boy, did that event change me! My mindset was shifted once again, and I actually started making an effort to do a little thing called Personal Development. As often as I can I try to listen to audio, or watch a video, or read a book in order to make myself a better person - to get my head in the right space, which in turn will help me be more positive, and ultimately attract positive people to me.
In the last few weeks I've been running a new body transformation challenge, and already we've had a tremendous response, and some great results! And these results are all thanks to my mind being at the right place. I am ready to help my customers and my team members be the best they can be, and it sure is awesome!
As for your personal development - whether you're in multi-level marketing or not, take time out of every day to focus on your own personal development. Even if it's just 20 minutes - read a book, listen to a inspirational story or watch a video on Youtube! I promise you you won't regret it!
